I have been on hiatus for some time now; my last post dates back to September 2025. In many ways, both the state of the world and the circumstances of my personal life intervened, leaving me without a clear answer as to how one might balance work, life, and the persistent internal struggles that accompany simply being.

To be three years out of school, without a clearly defined career path, can sound daunting—particularly at the age of twenty-six. Yet I can say, with some certainty, that I am less fearful than one might expect. Questions of self-sufficiency and uncertainty about the future of the country were among the primary reasons I chose to step away, but fear alone was not what sustained my absence.

More than anything, I was searching for a sense of purpose—one that allowed me to create without performance, obligation, or the fatigue that so often accompanies constant output. During this time away, I returned home to Virginia, where reconnecting with family and old friends served as a quiet but powerful form of restoration. That return grounded me, and I left with a clearer mind and a renewed understanding of how I want to move forward with intention and productivity.

The blog is returning, though its name may change—or it may remain the same. For now, that decision can wait. Posts will resume in February.
